Generate your own electricity and supply it to the national grid

A scheme initiated by The Ministry of Power and Renewable Energy in collaboration with Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority (SLSEA), Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) and Lanka Electricity Company (Private) Limited (LECO) to promote solar power plants on rooftops.

 

Options

You can choose to use the electricity you produce, sell it, or both!

 

Net Metering

All of the electricity generated from the solar system will be used to offset the electricity consumed on the premises. Any excess electricity produced will be carried forward to the next billing period.

 

Net Accounting

Any excess electricity generated from the solar system (excess of the electricity consumed at the premises) will be compensated to you at Rs. 27.06 per kWh (or at Rs. 23.17 for more than 500kW).

 

Net Plus

All of the electricity generated from the solar system will be metered through a dedicated export energy meter and you will be paid Rs. Rs. 27.06 per kWh (or at Rs. 23.17 for more than 500kW).
